hCG Diet Plan: How to Go About It?

The hCG diet, as you might have heard, is an extreme diet, which involves injections of hCG i.e., human chorionic gonadotropin. This natural hormone is made in the body during pregnancy. Named after the HCG hormone itself, this diet has been associated with dramatic weight loss and has become a craze that just won’t quit. Backers claim that even if you go on an ultra-low cal diet, hCG can reset your metabolism, so you shed as much as a pound a day without any hunger pangs.

According to science, any low-calorie diet results in weight loss. But studies say that hCG is not associated with it. It curtails you to 500 calories a day for about 8 weeks while taking hCG hormones through oral products, pellets, or sprays that are available at stores. Here’s how you go about hCG diet:

This 500-calorie diet allows you to have two meals a day – lunch and dinner. These meals must include one protein, one bread, one vegetable, and one fruit. Sticking to the strict calorie limit is crucial but extremely hard. Also, this weight loss diet doesn’t let you meet all your nutritional needs. Below 1200 calories a day, it’s challenging to get all vitamins and minerals without supplements. However, doctors do recommend low-calorie diets when someone is obese or has high blood pressure, but these diets must be supervised by them
